SCOA helps older adults stay connected with their families, learning and social opportunities and with the community. We offer a variety of free programs, resources and services that help seniors stay active, engaged and informed throughout the pandemic and beyond.

Telephone Buddy: Older adults are matched with trained and screened volunteers to chat with over the phone. To register, call our office 306.652.2255.

Century Club Connects: For older adults 90 years of age and over. The Century Club is free to join. Members receive colourful postcards and entertaining newsletters every other month. Staff and volunteers call members for chats over the phone. For more information or to become a member phone our office 306.652.2255. 

Resource Centre: Need information? Call our office 306.652.2255 for up-to-date information on services and programs for older adults. 

Technology Training: Learn to use your mobile device. SCOA provides safe, physically distanced one-on-one lessons for beginners or learn more advanced topics in our online workshops. For more information or to register call our office 306.652.2255

Hub Clubs & Coffee Break Webinars: Online via ZOOM. The Mayfair Hub Club is a lively social and learning opportunity for older adults 55 and over. The Coffee Break webinars provide useful information on topics such as health, health services and housing. SCOA website: The SCOA website www.scoa.ca is an online resource with information about our programs and services as well as a community resource section. We also have a dedicated COVID-19 resource page for older adults. 

SCOA Bus Buddy: Learn how to use the transit system to get where you need to go. Older adults are matched with trained and screened volunteers to learn how to use the city transit system safely. For more information or to register call our office 306.652.2255

Staying Connected with ZOOM: Working in partnership with Dr. Megan O’Connell and her team from the University of Saskatchewan, SCOA provides resources to help older adults use technology to stay connected. Older adults can also access social groups and learning opportunities. For more information or to join a group, call Dr. O’Connell at 306.966.2496.
