Seniors' TechBuddy Program
About the program:
The TechBuddy program pairs students and older adults to explore technology. The program is designed to help older adults connect with the world around them. In partnership with Holy Cross School, TechBuddy introduces older adults to various technologies and devices (tablets, iPhones, internet, social media among others) with students providing one-on-one instruction. If you or someone you know wants to learn more about a technology or device and would like one-on-one guidance, TechBuddy is a great option.
In spring 2014, a pilot version of TechBuddy was implemented. Older adults and students were paired and met in the afternoon at Holy Cross School. The response from both students and and seniors was tremendously positive.
How to sign up:
TechBuddy is suitable for beginners and for people who have taken one of SCOA's computer technology courses and want to further their skills. The program begins again in Winter 2017.
