Volunteering with SCOA

SCOA Volunteer Social

Volunteers are an essential aspect of the Saskatoon Council on Aging Inc. which offers exciting volunteer activities.  Getting involved in any aspect of this agency enables volunteers to gain valuable skills and experiences while promoting dignity, health and independence of older adults. 

If you want to help build a strong sense of community you can help by volunteering for one of the following positions:

Organize social functions
Update lists                
Resource Centre
Provide assistance and reception coverage         
Assist with teaching technology workshops and/or computer courses
Hand deliveries, bulk mail outs, writing stories for Coming of Age
Seek out funding for Council’s services and projects
Speakers Bureau
Provide presentations to community agencies
Century Club
Organizing and/or volunteering at events for Century Club members
Council’s Board of Directors & Committees
Assist in operations of the Council’s activities      
Positive Aging Drop In Program
Assist in co-ordination and/or hostess duties
