LutherCare Communities (LCC) is a leading provider of senior living communities for over 67 years. Lutheran Sunset Home of Saskatoon, now known and operated as LCC, began as a vision of national church leaders in the 1940s to respond to the needs of the Lutheran community as opportunities presented themselves for social ministry. LutherCare’s vision is to provide a safe and caring Continuum of Living ™ for all and our mission is to provide excellence in care, shelter, and support in a nurturing Christian environment for all entrusted to our care.
LutherCare has housing communities throughout Saskatchewan, proudly serving over 1,100 residents throughout independent living, intermediate care homes, long-term care homes, family housing, and group homes.
LutherCare Communities operates within a resident-first philosophy. Engaging with residents, families, team members, and our partners ensures that LutherCare continues to provide the highest standard of care.
As part of our resident-first philosophy, LutherCare is proud to offer a multitude of services to meet various needs. This includes Spiritual Care, which provides spiritual support for residents, families, and team members regardless of religious background. Wellness Services are also available and include support for the physical and emotional needs of our residents. LutherCare also provides several services outside of our living communities. This includes Home Help, which offers in-home support for older adults; Luther Seniors Centre, which provides day programs for seniors with dementia; and Community Day Programs that connect seniors within Saskatoon with a variety of focuses.
With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting a majority of community events, LutherCare is proud and excited to be the presenting sponsor for the SCOA Spotlight on Seniors event. It is a fantastic opportunity to reconnect and learn more about how we can continue to best support seniors in our community.
