Ageism refers to the unfair treatment, stereotypes, or prejudice against individuals based on age. It's a problem that affects people of all age groups, and it can have a significant effect on mental well-being. The workshop provides learning materials such as workshop outlines, presentation slides, and relevant articles and websites.

During the workshop, we will:

  • Debunk common myths and stereotypes about older adults and improve your knowledge about seniors' rights.

  • Explore the concept of ageism, its significance, and strategies for addressing it.

  • Learn how to recognize, understand, and counter our own ageist attitudes

  • Identify actions you can take to prevent and respond to ageism, and together, we'll develop an action plan to raise awareness and combat ageism effectively.

Additional Information:

  • Refreshments included.

This class is part of our "For 55 Plus: Positive Aging Life Enrichment" series.
