Ageism refers to the unfair treatment, stereotypes, or prejudice against individuals based on age. It's a problem that affects people of all age groups, and it can have a significant effect on mental well-being. The workshop provides learning materials such as workshop outlines, presentation slides, and relevant articles and websites.
During the workshop, we will:
Debunk common myths and stereotypes about older adults and improve your knowledge about seniors' rights.
Explore the concept of ageism, its significance, and strategies for addressing it.
Learn how to recognize, understand, and counter our own ageist attitudes
Identify actions you can take to prevent and respond to ageism, and together, we'll develop an action plan to raise awareness and combat ageism effectively.
