“Understanding Positive Aspects of Caregiver Experience in Dementia”

Dr. Camille Branger will discuss the findings of her doctoral research and describe the positive aspects of caregiving followed by an exploration into how we might use this knowledge to enhance the caregiver experience and support caregivers.

Intergenerational Choral Connections and Caregivers

This session will explore Timeless Voices, an intergenerational singing program that connects high school students, elder residents, and caregivers in choral music practices. We will invite you to learn and live the program as facilitated by the Timeless Voices faculty organizer, Dr. Jennifer Lang, graduate student coordinator, Andrea Johnson, and program caregiver and supporter, Norma Stewart.

“Reframing Care-giving: turning the everyday into the extraordinary”

Mary-Anne Parker will guide us through a care week, highlighting the importance of nurturing oneself and preparing for new ways of being with others. She is not only a caregiver herself but in her work as an end-of-life doula, she has examined how space and time can become intentionally meaningful and, dare we say, joyful.
