This workshop continues SCOA's work in raising public awareness about elder abuse. Everyone has a role to play in preventing the abuse of older adults in our community, and workshop attendees will learn more about this devastating issue through discussion, interactive exercises and resources for further learning.

During this workshop, we will:

  • Learn what elder abuse is and how to recognize it.

  • Learn how to talk to an older adult you think is being abused.

  • Learn how to protect yourself from abuse and seek help.
