Stress Management and Coping as a Caregiver

This presentation is aimed for caregivers to enhance awareness about stress management and coping mechanisms. This presentation will be given by Jeanne Beaudoin who works in community services in Saskatoon through the SHA.

The session will include a 30-minute presentation on stress management, coping mechanisms and caregiver resources and conclude with small group, student nurse-led discussions. The focus of this workshop is to enhance awareness of stress management and coping mechanisms in caregiving and to connect caregivers with each other and available community resources. Canine Good Neighbour Program Jan 22 Sage Seniors Resources, Market Mall
Cost: $40

Is your dog a good neighbour? Find out in the Canine Good Neighbour Program – Canine Good Neighbour event is an evaluation procedure designed by the Canadian Kennel Club. The goal is to evaluate dogs (and their owners) to determine if they could successfully participate in visitation programs. Owners and trainers use the test to see if their dogs could become certified Service dogs at some point. Testing exercises are available on the Canadian Kennel Club website. www.ckc.ca Evaluation cost is $40.00. Qualifying dogs receive certification from the CKC. Pre registration is required. Get Moving with Jackie Latendresse of Free Flow Dance Theatre

Jackie is the founder and artistic director of Saskatoon’s Free Flow Dance Theatre company which specializes in classes for adults and seniors.  This 2 class session will focus on simple stretches and limbering exercises with a fun dance theme.
