Digital Literacy skills can help older adults stay socially connected, stay independent, get access to services and much more. When digital literacy skills are neglected or avoided, everyday activities such as online bill paying, shopping, medical appointments, and even social media can be overwhelming. Ageism involves stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination against people based on their age. It affects people at all stages of life and can lead to many negative impacts on mental health. The purpose of the workshop is to raise awareness of ageism and its effects on society. The workshop provides resources such as workshop outlines, presentation slides, and relevant articles and websites.
• Dispel common myths and stereotypes about older people and increase knowledge and understanding of the rights of older people
• Understand what ageism is, why it matters, and how we can address it.
• As an older adults, how to understand my own ageist attitudes and how to counter that.
• Identify actions to prevent and respond to ageism and develop an action plan that will create awareness about ageism and undertake strategies to combat it Refreshments served.

The access to this box is over the Internet. Your private place in the iCloud was set up when you bought your first Apple product. The workshop will explore what is iCloud, how does it work, how to manage your space.

Join us for Treaty Learning Journey: Let’s Talk Truth, a two day workshop to develop awareness and knowledge of treaties and treaty relationships.  Listen to experiences of Indigenous people and take a beginning step on a path of reconciliation. Walk back through history to learn what happened At Treaty, After Treaty, and Today. Topics include Indigenous worldview and indigeneity, numbered Treaties, breaches of Treaty, and contemporary Treaty issues.
